Making Attendance a Priority

This year Mary Astell Academy welcomed a new Attendance Officer, Samantha Walton. Samantha will play a vital role in supporting the school's attendance initiatives.

The Attendance Officer role not only involves monitoring and managing pupil attendance but also developing and implementing attendance strategies, conducting home visits to promote good attendance and resolve any attendance issues.

Rewarding positive attendance in a school can be an effective way to encourage pupils to attend school regularly and punctually.

Samantha is working with pupils and their families to improve pupil attendance, ensuring that all pupils have access to a good education.
