Why Mary Astell Academy have Introduced their Pivotal Behaviour Policy

At Mary Astell Academy, staff have been working closely to make sure their Pivotal Behaviour Policy is implemented with the pupils in mind and a way to support them to succeed in learning and relationships. We have designed our Pivotal Behaviour Policy to promote a safe, respectful and positive learning environment for all pupils. A behaviour policy for schools is a set of guidelines that outlines expectations for student’s behaviour and provides a framework to support them.

Our aim of our policy is to Motivate, Aspire and Achieve.

Here are some key components of our Pivotal Behaviour Policy for Mary Astell Academy which all pupils must follow:

1. Be ready and Willing to learn
2. Be Safe
3. Be Respectful

By all staff and pupils following these 3 rules, we can create an environment that all bodies of the academy want to be a part of and can support one another to succeed and make the right choices.
