In this past half-term, InReach ventured out to the town of Berwick for the day where they visited the historical site of Ford Castle. The students took part in some of the activities offered by Ford Castle which were backed by sunny beautiful Northumberland countryside and the castle itself. Staff and students-alike tested their bravery sailing the sky on the zip wire, travelling as pairs and demonstrating both supportive and competitive spirit. The students were very enthusiastic and excited to take part, every single pupil had a go and many tackling it multiple times, whilst organising the pairs and orders respectfully amongst themselves.

The pupils then engaged in a game of football in the castle grounds before enjoying a buffet lunch provided by the organiser. The grand rooms and gift shop of the castle were enjoyed before the final activity of the day. The students were then ready to face the pinnacle of the day, testing their fear of heights and faith in their peers - the Leap of Faith. InReach had to work together to safely control the elevation and descent of their peers suspended from a rope who must show their skill and bravery by jumping. Once again InReach were determined, with students taking part multiple times and those reluctant to jump helping to support their friends. The trip was a success, with all enjoying the day and pupils demonstrated their ambition and teamwork skills.
